Spineless cowards just like John Howard, took him away from us
Blood on your hands, you don't understand what he meant to us
He was so happy, so gentle, a silly old thing, he didn't ask for much
You knew it was vicious and dangerous, didn't learn your lesson, lucky I didn't kick up a fuss
The ranger knocked on your door, but you just hid away, no back bone
If you want war, then you've got war, hope you sleep well when you're alone
I'm not spiteful, but he got quite a fright, then he left us forever
Gave us an insight into your lack of humanity, though he was old
He had many years left, now we're bereft, your reaction was so cold
I'm struggling to come to terms with it, finding it hard to be bold

Grow a spine you neglectful fuck, it's about fucking time
What if it were a member of your family? Would you cry like we cried?

You didn't even say sorry, just hid in the house like a coward
You said he'd be alright, after you pulled your mongrel away,
Now he's gone forever, never to return, you really fucked up my day
Next time I see you, rest assured I'll have something to say
How could you hide away when you knew full well he had died?
How could you stay hidden away after all the tears we had cried
You let him out again even though you knew it would happen again
Monster on the other side of the fence, your actions you can't defend
And you hide away because you've lost face, are you that afraid
How about how he felt during the attack, you'd better watch your back

Grow a spine you neglectful fuck, it's about fucking time
What if it were a member of your family? Would you cry like we cried?

He meant the world to me, the best friend a man could wish for, now he's no more
You've done it before, will you hide away when the ranger comes knocking on your door
I bet you'll do it again, refuse to take responsibility just like the last time
I can't do anything but vent with this pen, express my rage in rhyme
It could have been a child, anyone moron could have seen it coming
You don't have the balls to face up to it, so you keep on running
The tragedy is your lack of humanity, didn't even say you were sorry
Fucking bogan scum, thought you were ok but now you've got yourself an enemy
And no amount of words will change a thing, but how about an apology
That would be nice, some consolation, don't ask for more, just a show of humanity

Grow a spine you neglectful fuck, it's about fucking time
What if it were a member of your family? Would you cry like we cried?

SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS

You can't stop underground hip hop, it's the sound of resistance
Just like punk rock, hear the sound of rebellion, fuck this existence
Counter-cultures so hard-hitting that they can't be ignored, we'll settle the score
Human failure is consuming all and sundry, we're all whores, I'm feeling so bored
It's not OK to think that everything's alright, darkness in the light
Got something to say? then say it out loud, be proud, creatures of the night
Sometimes we got to pray to our own gods, the gods inside ourselves
If you don't change your ways, accept your lot, bow down, then you really need help
It's a hard life, I've been through trials and tribulations, it's only made me stronger
Always in strife, I've walked for miles, testing my patience, won't play victim any longer

The school of hard knocks will knock us down like a demolition
But through hip hop we can find our voice, we're on a mission
The sound of punk rock giving us a choice, we've got a vision
The sound of the underground keeping us sane

You can't stop underground hip hop, it's the sound of resistance
Just like punk rock, hear the sound of rebellion, fuck this existence
Counter-cultures so hard-hitting that they can't be ignored, we'll settle the score
Human failure is consuming all and sundry, we're all whores, I'm feeling so bored
It's not my way to ignore our planet's plight, here to do what's right
Got something to spray, then vandalise walls, stand tall, yes, take up the fight
Some days we don't want to get out of bed, but that's alright, it's life
If you don't seize the day, create masterpieces, then I'll hand you the knife
Its a cruel world, I've seen things you just can't imagine, it's only made me bitter
A string of pearls, no, diamond rings are not my passion, transcend worldly desire

The end of days, apocalypse approaching, fat cat's deceiving
Heads down in dismay, very little hope, tight rope, shit we're receiving
Some day we've got to change our sorry ways, yes, start today
If you don't take the bait, refuse to hate, don't wait, then the world we can save
There's always hope, may the sad truth be the catalyst, take steps to make things better
Yes, we can cope, stop the abuse of mother nature, slave chains for us to sever

The school of hard knocks will knock us down like a demolition
But through hip hop we can find our voice, we're on a mission
The sound of punk rock giving us a choice, we've got a vision
The sound of the underground keeping us sane

DROP THE BOMB

I've got flows on the go, my bars are deadly, they can't stop this
I'm a man in the know, topics are heavy, challenging views
Here to open minds, it's not so easy, ignorant bliss
Spread truth over time, know your enemy, they oppress you
Their corporate crimes, the rich are greedy, top of the list
Address issues through rhyme, plight of the needy, raise both my fists
The folks in between, falling through the cracks, nobody cares
My words are obscene, gangster rap is whack, nothing to say
All bling and bitches, no doubt about that, most unaware
Drowning in riches, spread disease like rats, no work, all play

Drop the bomb, the bomb of truth
Righting wrongs, let's raise the roof
Sing my song, reach out to youth
Something's wrong, do you need proof?

Militant like soldiers, my words acerbic, jaded dissident
Our race is a failure, our lives so tragic, it's quite evident
Our hearts closed like prisons, lack of compassion for boat people
We swallow their poison, hands tied, inaction, condone evil
Believe lies we're sold, rampant apathy, plastic people
God's rules to uphold, worship deity, holy steeple
Comfortable lifestyles breed complacency, fools in their place
Running a mile, on the man's treadmill, stuck in the rat race
Time to revile our society, a bitter taste
Revere Fred Nile, abandon free will, condemn with haste

Drop the bomb, the bomb of truth
Righting wrongs, let's raise the roof
Sing my song, reach out to youth
Something's wrong, do you need proof?

Running full throttle, I enjoy my life, can't control me
Hitting the bottle, find yourself in strife, you'll be sorry
Socially sanctioned, soma for the flock, not a druggie
Action, reaction, nothing really shocks, yes, we are free
Run, hide from the truth, too hard to accept, so scared we flee
Brainwashing our youth, teaching false concepts, too blind to see
Critical thinking, a thing of the past, accept defeat
The ship is sinking, hole in the mast, karma we reap
So out of touch, cohort of fools, mere tools indeed
Fight them through art, ignore their rules, find your own peace

Drop the bomb, the bomb of truth
Righting wrongs, let's raise the roof
Sing my song, reach out to youth
Something's wrong, do you need proof?

ONE TERM PM

Darwin award, obnoxious like an angry alcoholic, policies so toxic
Receiving rewards, so obvious, his ideas so archaic, believing in magic
Prancing around in budgies smugglers, spandex, embarrassing the nation
Man about town, entertaining Gina, erect, Murdoch loving relations
Coal mine at Abbot(t) Point, dredging the coral reef, all with Tony's blessing
Destruction makes them coin, greed that defies belief, aiding and abetting
Screw over the poor, tax breaks for the rich, there's gold among the coal
We're all worthless whores, bought off, perfect fit, money making's the goal
Jump aboard the coal train, get rich working in the mines, buy yourself a new ute
Slaving in their names, obey, consume, all of the time, you'd look good in a suit

His name is Tony, and he's the one and only budgie smuggling phony
He does not represent the people, instead he rubs shooulders with the evil
Sucking the cock of Rupert Murdoch, sniffing the farts of Gina Rinehart
He makes being a fool quite an art, sold us all out from the very start
Of his one and only term in office, when it's comes to screwing the poor, he's over zealous
Of course, he did his best to further the interests of his pay masters
A bunch of super rich bastards, who are only out to shaft us and get fat doing it
Modern day witch hunters, sneering at dissidents, burning them while pursuing it
A corporate agenda, full tilt fender bender, destroying all and sunder
But always with the belly of the economy in mind, an out of our minds sign of the times

Sucking US cock, turn us into narcs, refugees locked up indefinitely
Crawled out from a rock, his walks around almost stark naked, believes in God genuinely
Thinks he's passed the test, sycophant with iron will, life of plenty
What a fucking mess, his diplomacy skills, pissed off many
Tarred our name, our nation a laughing stock, the guy needs help
Rich cunts gain, my patience is running out, strike the death knell
Common sense: his enemy, earth is six thousand years old, it's flat as well
Climate change: a fallacy, help Gina dig up the coal, destroy earth like Shell Oil
Voted in by stupid fools, his rise was by no accident, take us to hell
Increased funds for private schools, God in the curriculum, ring the lunch bell

Man of the people, rich cretins at least, not so popular these days
Heart filled with evil, belly of the beast, never change his sorry ways
Turning back the boats, the people chose real change, no way, not in my name
Putting on a show, the fucker is deranged, doesn't feel our pain
Sowing seeds of greed, fuck the environment, drown in the acid rain
Paid parental leave for the rich, minister for women, treats it like a game
Holes in the budget, the poor fucked over, old folks under attack
Protection racket, the rich get richer, scratch each other's backs
We must condemn his clinging to the past, off the beaten track
One term PM, people have had enough, give the cunt the sack

CLIMATE CHANGE DENIALISM

I need to escape from the fast pace, coming down like Sid Vicious
No time to waste, going to a new place, down town, the bleeding obvious
Enraged but engaged, a new taste, this time round, it's delicious
Don't act in haste, put on a new face, smiling clown, I'm delirious
Caught in the rat race, truth erased, spinning around, it's the human condition
Stop just in case, spray the mace, pound for pound, I've got a new vision
Opening eyes, the meek shall rise, take up the fight, no more religion
Exposing lies, the ones I despise, do what's right, turn off the television
Don't you dare cry, time to decide, set your sights, what you missin'?
Way up high, pie in the sky, scaling heights, spectacular nuclear fission

Somewhere over the rainbow is a place where wise people go
Spectacular show of solidarity in the face of the cold and ugly
Do you have ears for me to borrow as the word play begins to flow?
Peculiar glow in the summer snow, time to make some goals, then party

They've got me under control, stuck in the system, wired on pharmaceuticals
So scared of growing old, don't play the victim, are my problems medical?
Anger's taken hold, dealt the wrong cards, torn apart, this cat is cynical
Gotta be bold, no holds barred, shooting star, a storm so electrical
Future coming fast, forget the past, nothing ever lasts, the way the cookie crumbles
Not into fast cars, just dropping bars, going far, here to incite and rumble
I'm not from Mars, from Venus instead, books to be read, too many parties
Those superstars, fucked in the head, rumours we're fed, paparazzi
I'm not biting, we're so obsessed, magazines we've read, empty like the dead sea
Still left here fighting, raising the dead, offensive like Tet, rebel like Ned Kelly

Somewhere over the rainbow is a place where wise people go
Spectacular show of solidarity in the face of the cold and ugly
Do you have ears for me to borrow as the word play begins to flow?
Peculiar glow in the summer snow, time to make some goals, then party

So sick of society, there's no variety, little wonder I'm jaded like a war vet
I know my enemies, they're stuck in entropy, hopes faded like an abused pet
Not wasting energy, doing the things they want me to do, just can't pretend
So much apathy, it's wearing thin, their bogus world view, just can't defend
Crass consumer creed, diamond rings, large collection of shoes, hungry until the end
Drowning in poverty, wounded wings, searching for something new, things will change when?
Do we have the means to end world hunger, feed the poor? Damn straight we do
We must transcend greed, stop getting fatter, search for more, seek out the truth
Participate in the alternatives, paint a new picture, don't waste your youth
Eliminate the fat cats' directives, how to make things better? the answer is you

Somewhere over the rainbow is a place where wise people go
Spectacular show of solidarity in the face of the cold and ugly
Do you have ears for me to borrow as the word play begins to flow?
Peculiar glow in the summer snow, time to make some goals, then party

SOUND OF FREEDOM

I'm militant like Karl Marx, standing stark naked at the edge of the universe
Hangman's noose, burning down the roof, I drop bombs with words
Corrupter of youth, here's the awful truth, forget what you heard
Indignant muse, disgusted with the greed of the few, drowning in turds
Fanning the fans of the fire, hitman for hire, free like a bird
Hanging from a wire, bullet aimed for the sire, don't piss off this nerd
Fuck the messiah, I'm a funeral pyre, ready to clean up the dirt
Here to teach lessons, with my ancestor's blessings, plenty of work
The folly of desire, selling us flat tyres, does the truth hurt?
Caught in the netting, deserve what they're getting, selfish jerks

Do you hear the sound of freedom? Whose children are we feeding'?
Everyone matters, we need em', Why do we keep competing?

The world is knee deep in muck, most people don't give a flying fuck
Vulnerable like a lame duck, bang for your buck, apathy sucks
Down on my luck, pain in my gut, as large as a monster truck
Target has been struck, broke out of my rut, fire truth darts
I'm here to change minds, heal broken hearts, I'm on a mission
Just a waste of time? Attack though art, I've got a vision
Creator of rhymes, unpleasant like farts, pissing on religion
Solid as a dime, pulling my own cart, smashing up televisions
Got to to think for ourselves, ignore the bullshit they be dishin'
Books on the shelf, intellectual wealth, make that decision

Do you hear the sound of freedom? Whose children are we feeding'?
Everyone matters, we need em', Why do we keep competing?

They've tied my wrists, just can't cope with all these rules for fools
In the mist, I find hope, tools for survival, valuable like jewels
We cling to the past, preserve the status quo, it's getting quite boring
Institutional dogma, welcome to the candy show, I just can't stop snoring
So sick of the man, who tells us what to do, this lion is roaring
Don't you understand? we're knee deep in poo, stop ignoring
Each day is the same, people getting maimed by bombs and shrapnel
No longer insane, dance in the rain, bite from the forbidden apple
You just might find truth, something to live for, join the battle
Desist, resist, refuse, don't support their wars, the death rattle

Do you hear the sound of freedom? Whose children are we feeding'?
Everyone matters, we need em', Why do we keep competing?

ANOTHER SPANNER IN THE WORKS

We're all living in a fantasy, pushing stones up hills for our enemies, such a waste of energy
How can I get you to see that your life is empty even though you have plenty, it's time to break free
From the ideas that you were taught in school, your compliance helps them to rule
Over your every action that you take, they don't have to control you, because you control yourself
Your mind is there for the taking, your body up for rent, your sweat and toil creates wealth
For the greedy to play with, while we neglect the needy, leave them to fend for themselves
You spin hours into nothing, just keep on consuming, it's little wonder mental health
Problems are on the rise, depression, alienation, it's all written into the mainframe of the system
Society doesn't give a fuck about us, brainwashed from the start, we are all it's victims
But we're not gonna take it anymore, we're gonna stop being whores, it's time to get even

Throw another spanner in the works, this current state of affairs is oh so fucking absurd
We've got a circus freak show to disturb, politicians mincing turds with their dishonest words
Take another leap of faith, we can change our sorry ways, put our collective power on display
For all the slimy pricks to see, have them feeling slightly queasy and extremely uneasy
Throw another spanner in the works, diversity of tactics and party tricks, whatever works
We've got an entire parliament to bring to their knees, yes we'll storm in and do as we damn well please

We keep such obnoxious company, playing with our phones, adorning our yuppie homes
With more gadgets than one could ever need, the obsession we continue to feed, sewing more seeds
Of greed, as we fail to heed the words of Jesus, all his teachings simply leave us
We spectate warring factions pretending to have different policies, but really in bed with the same enemy
As we invest so much energy into maintaining our apathy over which party we ought to vote for
All politicians are the same, so generalise the lumpeproletariat: lying, cheating, scamming bores
I, for one, would tend to agree, they do not represent you and me, but support sponsors of the party
Those fat cats who scratch each other's backs, getting the mighty Strayan economy back on track
Politicians on both sides rubber stamping corporate crimes, watching their buddies gladly step out on line
And we wonder why we are so cynical and far from being hysterical come election time

We devote all our time and energy to trivial pursuits, such as watching sports on the big screen TV
Almost to the point of religious fervour and gaiety, football offers up plenty for all worshippers to see
Mere distractions from the bigger picture: our collective failure to have our voices heard by power
So we bow down as if it were the sound we like to hear when in fact our bitterness is well renowned
We are the malcontents, no longer willing to take shit, oh yes, we are so discontent, it's not funny
If only we were to unite, we could make scaredy cats out of our enemies and have them running
The power we could possess would be simply stunning, too much for words to be able to express
As we put people power to its litmus test, make the bastards confess and be accountable to the rest
It could be the beginning of something quite beautiful, much better than feeling helpless and pitiful
More than merely helpless animals, unable to decide our own fates, finally theres's spice in the crucible

So we call this progress, these lives of excess, but there's no recess
Technology may have made life easier, that's why we're all getting fatter
As we sit by indolently, that fast food is so cheap is the tragedy
A whole population ravaged by diabetes, because access is so easy
We sit by idly as the natives die out, nobody cares, it's time to cry foul
A life expectancy on par with the third world, but we don't care because we are unaware
When they fight each other, intoxicated on the alcohol we gave them, people stop and stare
It's easier to objectify the other than to see them as our sisters and brothers
And if you tell me we are not a racist nation, then you are a fucking liar
Meanwhile the processing of information has become faster but have we become any smarter

THE CAPTAIN MUST DIE

I'm so sick of these self-indulgent yuppies with their i-pads, following fads
They're so pathetic just like their mums and dads, it's really quite sad
And there's no fucking doubt about that, their apathy makes me really mad
Quite willingly, they support the exorbitant lifestyles of the greedy and the bad
And all the senseless wars they be waging on those without a mainstream voice
The war of Iraq, the war on drugs, the war on refugees, struggling to be free
We don't have to accept things as they are, we've always got a choice
The less we consume, the less power the fat cats have over us, can't you see?
It's time we recognised our real enemies, the ones who control you and me
The whole system is corrupt and falling to pieces, let's take back what we need

Time to smash up the system, rebellion to a revolutionary rhythm
When we have our coups d'état, heads will roll, yes, we will beat them
We will carry out a mutiny, we are sick and tired of the captain
All capitalists must die, none of our enemies shall be survivin'

Our inaction makes it easy for them to walk all over us and fuck us over
The world guzzles oil as if it were water, let's all fill up our V8 motors
We may as well because we're already on a collision course with destruction
We do everything they tell us to do, it's easier to simply follow instructions
Having a social conscience is going out of fashion, we may as well accept defeat
We're all dog meat of the bones of ashes, yes, humanity is becoming obsolete
Just like analogue devices, soon we will be confined to the dustbin of history
Unless we turn turn things around and wage war against our real enemies
They be selling us shoes from their sweatshop factories, which cost an exorbitant fee
It's a sign of things that will come to be, the world revolves around sweat and money

Time to smash up the system, rebellion to a revolutionary rhythm
When we have our coups d'état, heads will roll, yes, we will beat them
We will carry out a mutiny, we are sick and tired of the captain
All capitalists must die, none of our enemies shall be survivin'

There are so many lost souls in this sick sad world in which we all live
But they're capable of so much more, they've got so much more to give
They've been brainwashed from the start, had their brains put through a sieve
We've all been raped by the system since we we young, it's very hard to forgive
Fuck capitalism, it serves only the rich and the powerful, not the rest of us
But we're not going to take it any more, we're going to kick us a big fucking fuss
So many contradictions, it won't be long until the whole system goes bust
There's hope for humanity yet, if we scratch underneath the surface of the rust
We've got to question society, question all we've been taught, it's a must
Fuck all those institutions of oppression, it's time to rise up and clean off the dust

Time to smash up the system, rebellion to a revolutionary rhythm
When we have our coups d'état, heads will roll, yes, we will beat them
We will carry out a mutiny, we are sick and tired of the captain
All capitalists must die, none of our enemies shall be survivin'

Gina the Hut

spare me from oblivion
a lifetime full of false promises
manifests into the homicidal tendencies
we do well to repress
give me a fucking gun
and I would take Gina out
such a gluttonous piece of shit
who deserves to rot among her money
her coal burning incessantly
producing toxic emissions
what price does she put on coal?
she doesn't care about future generations
somebody please give me a gun
violence solves everything
but satire is as futile
as an alcoholic trying to have
only a drink or two
my indignation is beyond
the limits of your imagination
please pass me the syringe or the bong
I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired
living in this world makes me sick

MONKEY ON THE BACK

I've got an addictive personality, self control is a fallacy
It seems I'm my own worst enemy, I think I'm about to go crazy
If I already wasn't from the start, maybe I'm just too smart
For this world, have too much of a heart, as I fire darts
Into the mainframe of the system, yes, I hate the authorities
I'm still searching for wisdom, still fighting against gravity
The rebel inside of me will not bow down, I won't accept defeat
The devil rules the earth, metaphorically speaking, there's no retreat
From the greed of the fat cats, who may as well wear a top hat
They control our lives, keep us running in circles like rats

There's a monkey on my back who keeps me doing that
He's on the prowl, ready to attack: an axe in the fucking back
There's a monkey on my back who's hiding in my flat
He's sitting on my lap, about to snap and we wouldn't want that

I've been walking down the winding path of self-destruction
I'm headed for a twisted destination, I can't find any satisfaction
If only I wasn't plagued by inaction, a refusal to change my sorry ways
I'm can't seem to find any traction, sick of wasting away the days
Tomorrow is a new beginning, I must keep on reminding myself of this
I must not follow the monkey into temptation, it's only a false bliss
Fuck the system and fuck these self-indulgent vices, time to break free
There is wisdom in a life of excess, it builds resilience inside of me
I must stop living out a fantasy, stop believing there are no consequences
Time to knock down walls with a bulldozer, to tear down some fences

There's a monkey on my back who keeps me doing that
He's on the prowl, ready to attack: an axe in the fucking back
There's a monkey on my back who's hiding in my flat
He's sitting on my lap, about to snap and we wouldn't want that

There is still hope for me yet, if only I could escape the monkey's grip
I'm beholden like a pet to its master, feels like I've been caught in a rip
I may as well go back to prison, there is no escaping from this nightmare
This is the darkest of seasons, sometimes it feels like I'm going nowhere
But there is always a silver lining after the rain, I must keep the faith
Life is full of pain and sorrow, but there's always tomorrow, I won't sit by and wait
Time to be proactive, escape from sleepy hollow, remove the gaffa tape
Go to the library, there are books to borrowed and a debt to be paid
Nobody escapes this world unscathed, it's a sick sad world full of violence
No wonder I'm so jaded and do the things I do, I refuse to remain silent

There's a monkey on my back who keeps me doing that
He's on the prowl, ready to attack: an axe in the fucking back
There's a monkey on my back who's hiding in my flat
He's sitting on my lap, about to snap and we wouldn't want that

NORMAL PEOPLE

What do normal people do? I wish to hell that I knew
All the chemicals I ingest to excess, I need to give it a rest
The new year is the test, I will try my very best
To resist and desist, all the reality I've missed
Conviction comes from within, but I don't know where to begin
I been playing a game of roulette that nobody can win
Each day is the same, I've got a trunk full of shame
The road is headed for a desolate destination
If I persist in walking in this dangerous direction
It's a simple matter of mathematics and deduction

They say nice guys finish last, it's been the story of my past
It's little wonder I've head down this path of self destruction
Another blast from the past, I can't find any satisfaction
These sensations never last, it's a matter empirical reduction

Where do normal people go, I've got nothing to show
For all of my efforts, my life is like a desert - barren
I can't decide what to do with myself, too many books upon the shelf
So many lies fed to us by the fascist authorities
It's little wonder I try to escape, to preserve my sanity
I'd like to take some politician's out, that's my fantasy
You simply can't comprehend the indignation inside of me
I'll admit it, I'm an addict, give me anything and I'll take it
This self-abuse defies all logic, when I'm stoned I don't fake it
There's are dead bodies in my attic, when will I finally make it?

They say nice guys finish last, it's been the story of my past
It's little wonder I've head down this path of self destruction
Another blast from the past, I can't find any satisfaction
These sensations never last, it's a matter empirical reduction

Do normal people feel at all, or have they put up high walls
Too busy hanging out in shopping malls, they don't care about truth any more
The horrific violence on the screen is met with ambivalence and moral silence
All they care about is to be seen wearing the latest fashions, their reliance...
On superficiality is insufferable for me and makes me bitter and angry
Why can't they see that they are all characters in a silent movie
Called CCTV every time they go into the city, they will never be free
They are unaware of their real enemies, believe them to be you and me
Without the faculty of critical thinking, they succumb to the logic of competition
As they keep on consuming what they don't need and looking for new sensations

They say nice guys finish last, it's been the story of my past
It's little wonder I've head down this path of self destruction
Another blast from the past, I can't find any satisfaction
These sensations never last, it's a matter empirical reduction

FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS/SILVER PLATTER

Fuck the corrupt system, automatons at the train station, we're all victims of indoctrination
Taught to be nothing at all, made to feel lame and small, unaware of social relations
But we're not gonna take it anymore, time to put on our thinking hats, stop being bats
Yes, we're better than that, fearless warriors to be exact, and that's a fact
There's so much waste, relentless rat race, we drop bombs and dump so much food
We're all consumerist whores, thinking about their fucked up wars puts me in a foul mood
The level of my indignation is beyond the depths of your imagination
Many obstacles we're facin', people dying for no good reason, let's all commit treason
Because the nation doesn't give a fuck abut us, time to strip off the rust
We wake up to Koshy every morning, buy all the products they advertise, while children die
We need to open our eyes, see through their lies, start to ask ourselves why

Don't tell me about your first world problems, I've just about had it
The military-industrial complex, perpetual war for the sake of profit
You worry about your lack of status, making money is all that matters
Wait until you get stabbed in the back and all your dreams are shattered
Everything we know is up for sale, we're all prostitutes, can't you see?
Fuck the powers that be, that control you and me, it's time to break free

They don't need to ban books, nobody reads them anyway, they'd rather play
With their smart phones, watch rubbish on television, it's the modern way
Everything simplified and sanitised, must decide which four wheel drive to buy
We stand in the corner petrified, when we could be taking flight, the end is nigh
Our apathy and inaction keeps the contracts alive and moving, Halliburton reconstructing
New buildings upon rubble, the road paved in oil, the aftermath of mass bombing
History keeps repeating with Uncle Sam at the helm, crimes against humanity
War is good for the economy, there's blood in the well, the pinnacle of anarchy
Next time you feel like whinging, spare a thought for the innocents blown to smithereens
By the bombs of Obama and other war pig cretins, squeaky clean like Mr Sheen

Don't tell me about your first world problems, I've just about had it
The military-industrial complex, perpetual war for the sake of profit
You worry about your lack of status, making money is all that matters
Wait until you get stabbed in the back and all your dreams are shattered
Everything we know is up for sale, we're all prostitutes, can't you see?
Fuck the powers that be, that control you and me, it's time to break free

Existence can be challenging for you and for me and all the people in between
Resistance is not an option, it's a necessity if we want to be free, can't you see?
The people have had enough, pitch battles on the street, it's us versus the police
The way we treat each other defies belief, the cruelty, the seeds of greed
Nobody gives a fuck about the plight of the planet, lack of passion, action reaction
We're but slaves to the latest fashions, full of hatred and apathy, not compassion
Let's desecrate that which is scared, our too-fatted livers in a state of cirrhosis
Lost our minds, we stand in the cold half-naked like a meth junkie in the grips of psychosis
Dead inside, we've lost sight of the bigger picture, forget all about the planet's future
It's raining outside as we murder one another in the name of freedom, our species is a failure

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

we're all cogs in an enormous machine, there's a lot of dust to clean
this goes out to people in the margins, and the people in between
the military industrial complex, war is good for the economy
a light behind the rainbow reflects, the complicity of you and me
I was born into a poor family, money means very little to me
it's just a means to and end, there's no need to pretend
they we are actually civilised beings,  rampant greed is the enemy
this world is run by men with expensive pens, mountains of money to defend
we're all blind to the privilege, unaware of the disease, memes of greed
forget about need, this is what we want, we're all here to sow the seeds

SANDWICH BOARD FULL OF DEGRESS

I’m the king of the heap, I never sleep, I’m better than all consorts
I have ten degrees, a genius with depth of thought, never been caught...
Cheating with study aids, I get all the best grades, I’m an individual
Better than the educated average, I’m not like others, I’m special
They gave me the wrong marks, I should have got the full total
It was a binary error, not my fault, those academics are evil
They’ve got a vendetta against me, I’m an English gentleman like V
Despite my pleas, they wouldn't listen to me, why can't they see
How brilliant I beeth, don't make me seethe, wait a minute - I'm always calm
What individuals like about me is that I always leave a mark like strawberry lip balm

I'm afraid of a stampede of obese gals, raping me with brass dildos

I'm the epitome of sheer sex appeal, my name is Lex, and I get all the hos
I don't date fat chicks anymore, they hurt me the most, I'm such a bore
They don't know what I have in store, I'll key your car with this crab's claw
I'm not a hooligan, that's right, there's no need to fight, I'm a classy man
I'm going places, I've got refined social graces, I've got a master plan
I'm the right man for the job, they won't tell me "no", I'm a man on the go
Just gotta go with the flow, follow my brilliant mind, and I shall be CEO
I've been to uni for ever, that's why I'm so clever, I know all there is to know
I've done what it took, check out my e-book, it's quite the altruistic show

The sheer reality of human folly is really silly just like my hypocrisy
I'm a compassionate entity, an altruist of a non-pure variety
In moments of passionate fever, I get paranormal visions of Shiva
I'm a proponent of pseudo science, I don't  believe in logic either
It proves the existence of a higher power, that's why I get sectioned
I'm a liberal Presbeterian, God will let me bring my narc diary to heaven
I record everthing for posterity, like the time I got my scooter smashed
I don't like to drink heavily, my main goal in life is to make lots of cash
So I can buy myself some blonde bisexual bitches with huge knockers
My CV is fifty pages long, that's why pontential employers think I'm bonkers

I can't get myself a root, so I play 'Gay Bar' on loop, I wanna talk to you
I used to be a go-go dancer, yes it's true, I'm ashamed to be a Jew
I'm here to settle a score, I refuse to dance professionally any more
I'd like to pick up some barbie whores, my e-book is rudimentary and raw
I like to use the word "nigger",  my ego couldn't get much bigger
I'm a loser, I couldn't get any thicker, each year I get even sicker
I should really hide, I haven't gotten far even though I really tried
Yes, I'm so hard done by, I've been abandoned by the man beyond the sky
I have no shame at all, no internal filter, Shakespeare on my bookshelf
I really need help, but I never listen to others, always take the piss out of myself

MORNING IN GAZA

Despite Abbott's lies, Gaza is occupied, by the relentless Zionists
Who bring in bulldozers, houses pushed over, for 'harbouring terrorists'
The West only see the terror of desperate suicide bombers
As the Palestinians suffer and mourn for their murdered family members
Never a fair fight, advantage to one side, a case of rocks versus tanks
Each day, it's more of the same, children get maimed or killed, paid for by the yanks
Uncle Sam spends more in military aid to the war-mongering Zionist regime
Than the rest of the world combined, don't tell me that's not fucking crazy
World leaders sit by and twiddle thumbs as more Palestinians die
The public are too apathetic, brain washed and self-absorbed to question why

The constant humiliation, Palestinians treated like second class citizens
In their own land, there's no freedom, civilians supposedly killed by accident
Each and every day, children wake up to gunfire and explosions
Death - a common occurrence, there's no righteous cause, just moral erosion
Sad state of affairs, people who used to live side by side, now bitter enemies
Jews survived the the horror of the holocaust, only to carry on the legacy
The IDF armed by the US, kill with impunity, act just like the Nazis
The Palestinians fight back by blowing themselves into smithereens
There can be be no peace, while Israel keeps building settlements in the West Bank
They flaunt their disproportionate power, carry out another incursion with their tanks

BONE TO PICK

I've got a bone to pick with society, living makes me sick
This world fills me up with anxiety, the doomsday clock ticks
All around me, I see plastic people, and corporate cretin evil
Advertising makes me feel feeble, excluded from the holy steeple
I was born tabula rasa, only to be filled with nonsense, bourgeois indoctrination
Forced to believe in the holy father, swim in circles like a goldfish, standard socialisation
We're all martyrs like Jesus Christ, wasted lives, sacrifice for the market
Stormy weather, the spectre of Katrina, Gina Rinehart makes a perfect target
No sympathy for prisoners, treated as the other, they're deviant just like gunja
We don't care about our sisters and brothers, too busy competing with one another

Got a bone to pick
This world makes me sick

When I was much younger, I thought I had all the answers, had learnt all my lessons
Now I'm not quite so sure, I yearn for something more, got a mind full of questions
So many reasons to get angry at the greed of the enemy, anger is an asset
The stupidity of the many, living on a drip feed, time to place my bets
On who will win the Darwin Award, we can't afford to throw away our lives
We only live once, the indignation of the sun, who wants to win a prize?
The saviour of the future is you and me, everyone writes their own history
The pleasure of more leisure time, it's plain to see that your job only brings you grief
So quit straight away, more time to play, the best things in life are free
But if you need the money, follow your dreams and sail the seven seas

Got a bone to pick
This world makes me sick

Nothing is as it seems, question what you believe, change your point of view
Learn to read the subtext, see beyond the sex, reject the lies sold to you
You're a creature of style, upwardly mobile, think you're going places
A vacuous yuppie, flaunt your wealth for all to see, lost among blank faces
I'm on a mission to make others listen, my acerbic words are my weapons
And I won't stop until I'm knackered, found a cure for cancer, I have good reasons
For the planet is dying, as politicians keep lying, in bed with the mining industry
They tell us climate change is a fallacy, just a lefty loony conspiracy
There's so many excuses to avoid doing the dishes, leave them for someone else
Much easier to switch off your mind, watch TV in your spare time, take a good look at yourself

Got a bone to pick
This world makes me sick

ONE WORLD, ONE PEOPLE

If we accept this ecocide we may as well all commit suicide, blow up the outside
World, for there won't be much left except for cyclones, floods and death, as mother nature cries
It's time for us to sacrifice, to pay the full price, to save the planet for future generations
We need to listen to the tides, learn to question why, it's time for quiet contemplation
The world is so fragile, we've only been here a while, but we've destroyed all and sundry

Time to stop fracking, to start hacking the mainframe, that shit makes me angry
The world is our oyster, ours to make better, better now than never
Time to be clever, observe the changing weather, let's all join together
Following the march of ants, to the rhythm of the peace drums, I've got a master plan

To make us the masses aware, the people over there, do whatever we can

Time to pry some eyes open before they start up their hunting season
Thought I was only joking when I called for us to commit treason?
No nations, no borders, turn off all television stations, and stop taking orders
From corporations, only out to rape us, the truth may just be the thing that saves us

If we let them rape this earth, we may as well buy a planet sized hearse, stop the search
For the remedy to the world's problems, give up hope, for nothing really works
That's just pessimism, an opaque prism, a tendency to jump to conclusions
But there's a better way, hope in every waking day, let's all search for solutions
GMO sold to those in need, Monsanto sowing seeds of greed, spreading cancer
Like it were ordinary, no need to worry, no siree, Uncle Sam's got all the answers
Bomb weak countries to smithereens, then pave the way for reconstruction, money to be made
Halliburton's got the contracts, a matter of fact that it's corruption, executives to be paid
Wake up before it's too late, it's not sealed in fate, there's an escape route for humanity
If we seek out the truth, we can put the knowledge to use, stick it to the evil companies

Time to pry some eyes open before they start up their hunting season
Thought I was only joking when I called for us to commit treason?
No nations, no borders, turn off all television stations, and stop taking orders
From corporations, only out to rape us, the truth may just be the thing that saves us

If we submit to the status quo, we may as well go shit on everything that we know
To be right, to be decent, we need to be more sublime that that, stop being so shallow
It's time to open our eyes, to unwrap the prize inside our minds, altered perception
We need to listen to rebellion's call, read the graffiti on the walls, see through deception
The agents of orange, the ugly face of revenge, the ghosts of Hiroshima
Depleted uranium, Babylon on fire, scorching winter, unpredictable weather
IMF keeping the poor on a chain, with nothing to gain, always behind the eight ball
Profit's the name of the game, as cluster bombs maim, I want to see Wall Street fall
Though lies are plenty, the glass is not empty, we can still have our fill, rise above
Unfurl our wings, question everything, turn on the light and take flight like a black dove

Time to pry some eyes open before they start up their hunting season
Thought I was only joking when I called for us to commit treason?
No nations, no borders, turn off all television stations, and stop taking orders
From corporations, only out to rape us, the truth may just be the thing that saves us

CASH, MONEY

Everywhere I go, I get bombarded with visual pollution, Coca Cola in the solution
I take a sip of the mixture, provides me with pleasure and dutch courage, its seducing
Makes me obnoxious, the words I spit are toxic, I rocks it
But I've got nothing to say, nothing new anyway, it's the same shit that I spray, day after day
I've got my mind on repeat, ready to concede defeat, almost beat
I think I'm free, but I'm running on empty, following sheep, unable to see
Through all the bullshit that they throw at me, the lies bouncing off of every page
I'm just a slave, to the wage, the perfect worker, consumer of this day and age
Following trends all the way to the bitter end, competing with all of my friends
To see who has the largest house, biggest dick, most plastic girl in the play pen

Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money

I've got it made, got everything I need but I still want more
Because there's something missing, but what it is - I'm not quite sure
I'm not the smartest kid on the block, just a follower, a corporate whore
They've got me by the balls, the writing's on the walls, & it's rotten to the core
I'm oversensitive, but I'm attentive, watching who's getting the better of me
Gotta keep up with the Joneses, compete, keep on buying shit that I don't need
But it keeps me happy, makes me feel important, this life is so decadent
Self-indulgent yuppie, yes that's me, to be rich, is the pinnacle off excellence
I'm chasing the American dream, on the right team, dreaming of dollars all of the time, I'm a cash fiend
I love money and all the happiness it can buy, advertising consumes my mind, I'm free

Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money

I never read books, prefer to watch rubbish on television, it's my own decision
I keep on tuning in to commercial religion, lack of peripheral vision
I worship celebrities even though they make me feel ugly, invoke my insecurities
All the products on display make me aroused, give me a dose of retail therapy, stand out in the crowd
It's the solution to all my problems, gives me relief, must follow the latest fashions
I throw caution to the wind, maxing out my plastic cards, shopping is my passion
Without an overabundance of credit, I can't keep up with the competition
And even though I hate my job, it pays for my exorbitant lifestyle, that's some consolation
I don't care about all those hours I spin into nothing, don't believe in saving just in case
Of a rainy day, that's just not my way, I don't mind being caught in the rat race

Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money
Cash, money

Everywhere I go, I get bombarded with visual pollution, Coca Cola in the solution
I take a sip of the mixture, it provides me with pleasure and dutch courage
Makes me obnoxious, the words I spit are glorious, but don't take me serious
Because I've got nothing to day, nothing new anyway, it's the same day after day
I've got my mind on repeat, almost ready to concede defeat, almost beat
I think I'm free but I'm running of empty, following sheep, unable to see
